Diskotopia present an early evening autumn event with special live performances from Aemong and Shoko, at an unique exciting space in the fashionable Shimokitazawa area of Tokyo.

Diskotopia label heads A Taut Line and BD1982 will be joined by guest DJ Solji to provide a barrier-free, genre spanning selection of quality music.

Already listed by The Quietus in their best albums of 2018, “1000” by Berlin-based Taiwan/Brazilian duo Aemong was released on Diskotopia in February. The album is truly one of the most exciting and enjoyable debuts from a project in a long while. Mixing elements of Suicide and Bruce Gilbert style no wave/DIY with a seriously dubwise sound, come December it will be held up as one of the most inventive radioactive techno/coated pop releases this year.

This is the first time they have come to Japan, and their live show is not to be missed.

We’re also very excited to have Tokyo’s own acid-folk chanteuse Shoko, bringing a mesmerizing solo performance full of sensual energy.

As well as live music, DJ sets, drinks and vibes, there will be contemporary British comfort food served by local pop-up kitchen crew Messy Peddlers. Originally from England, the Tokyo based pair reflect the diverse cultures and scenes of London and bring the best and most delicious bits to Tokyo.
