BD1982 Let's Talk Math

Back To Chill & Off The Hook resident BD1982 drops his debut album Let’s Talk Math on Starkey and Dev79’s Seclusiasis label this month, with a release party at Heavy Sick Zero.

The Yokohama-based heavyweight bass producer BD1982 made a name for himself in the Philly and NY bass scenes and now continues to shock floors in the US and Japan with his unique brand of MPC-produced grime charged dubstep. Combining textures of various samples that showcase an endless count of musical influences of all forms, his music still maintains the rigid upfront street bass sound of his label bosses/mates Starkey, Dev79 and Kotchy. The most exciting thing about BD1982 is his ability to approach you from a completely different angle from one tune to the next.

After a series of 12”s and EPs (featuring remixes from the likes of Slugabed and more), BD1982’s debut LP Let’s Talk Math is released March 22nd. Drawing new additional inspirations from 90s dancehall and even Italian prog-legends Goblin, it features appearances by 77 Klash and California based musician Low Leaf. There will be a digital release available at all major & minor online stores as well as an extremely limited edition CD version only available here in Japan.

  1. Don’t Slip
